Armah debuts with double-double

Posted by Jack on November 15, 2008

Daniel Armah, 6′ 6″ G/F, played his first game last night for Casper College. In 19 minutes off the bench he recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds. Armah was the first recruit of the Runhouse-Hoops Project. The staff of Runhouse and the coaches at Cape Coast Hoops have full confidence in Armah’s success.

Dan keep up the good work and keep those doubles coming. Your countrymen back in Ghana are very proud of you.

7′ 1″ Kobby Acquah supports Runhouse

Posted by Jack on September 11, 2008

Kobby AcquahFormer Southern Illinois big man Kobby Acquah dropped Runhouse a line this week to let us know that he is “excited about what we are doing for the young kids in Ghana.” Acquah hails from Cape Coast, Ghana and completed his collegiate career as a Southern Illinois Saluki. Prior to playing at Southern Illinois he played at Clark University where he was second in the nation in blocked shots. Acquah is now an engineer while rehabbing a knee injury.

Acquah has offered to assist our players with mentorship and has already spoken to them this week. He is planning to return to Ghana in December and visit the Runhouse-Hoops camp in Cape Coast. We at Runhouse wish Kobby the very best and are glad that we have established a friendship with him.

Chris Angsomwine at Harcum College

6′ 9″ Chris Angsomwine has arrived at Harcum College. Chris has promised to have a very productive year for Harcum and wants his countrymen back in Ghana to follow along online. He stated that one of his goals is to make Coach Claude Thompson of Cape Coast Hoops proud of his achievements both on and off the court.

Chris spent the weekend with his new teammates and coach and has adjusted well to life in the USA. He is especially fond of the food at the school and said he can’t wait to try an authentic Philadelphia cheesesteak.

Daniel Armah visits Philly Triple Threat

Daniel Armah in Philly

Daniel Armah, the first Runhouse Hoops Gold Coast Recruit, stopped by the Finley Recreation Center to instruct and practice with the Philly Triple Threat 14u team. The youngsters were amazed at Armah’s athletic ability and listened closely as it talked to them about basketball in Ghana.

Armah was our first recruit from the Runhouse Hoops Gold Coast Project and is now joined at Casper by fellow recruit 6′ 9″ Atsu Atakpa.
